Request to Podcasters

In recent years, several podcasts and YouTube videos have been produced by creators who are interested in the Christa Helm case.

If you’re a podcaster who is thinking of covering this story, please do not simply parrot the information that others have worked hard at digging up.

Please do your own work, reach out to people, gather new information, and help us push the case forward.

Otherwise, your efforts are akin to reading aloud from a Wikipedia page. It’s lazy and accomplishes nothing in finding the answers we need to bring closure to this case.

You might think that you have no power to push this case forward. But I’ve been a podcaster for 14 years who holds a regular day job. I had no reason to believe I could turn up new information either. But I just decided to try.

At the very least, cite the sources you use on your podcasts.

Never Before Released Photo Unearthed

Thanks to Steven Cohen, an assistant cameraman on Christa’s ill-fated 1974 film Let’s Go for Broke, we now have this behind-the-scenes photo of Christa during the Miami reshoots for the film. This was taken in 1973 possibly on the soundstages of Ivan Tors Studio.

Newly Discovered Newspaper Articles Make Connection to 2nd Grisly Murder

These are the original articles that appeared in the immediate aftermath of Christa's murder.  The first article was taken from the Los Angeles Times on Feb. 13, 1977 - the day after Christa's murder.  This is the first mention of surprising second murder victim found five miles away under similar circumstances. Was this murder ever solved?

The second article is from the Los Angeles Times on Feb. 14, 1977.  Both victims had been identified by this time. Please note that Sandra Clements is Christa's married name. The third article, published days later, is from the Van Nuys News.
